(01) The challenge

Serious hardware sold with stock photos

Ryzen's buyers compare payload, flight time and regulatory class before they care about lifestyle imagery. The old store showed all of it in a PDF spec table, and average session value on high-ticket units was flat.

  • · Spec comparison required downloading a PDF
  • · No path from one drone to the accessory set it needs
  • · Product pages took 4.8s to interactively load
Ryzen Drone — The challenge

(02) Approach

Let people configure it, then buy it

We built the product page around an interactive comparison and a payload configurator, so a buyer sees the exact unit with the exact accessories and the resulting flight time. Bundles are derived from that configuration, not hand-curated.

  • · Interactive spec comparison across the range
  • · Configurator that recomputes flight time and payload live
  • · Accessory bundles generated from the saved configuration

(03) Outcome

Average order value up 29%

Accessory attach rate nearly doubled once the bundle was part of the buying flow, and high-ticket units stopped needing a sales call to close.

(04) What we did

Data modelling came before the visual work

The configurator only works if every unit's constraints are modelled properly, so we started with the engineering data rather than the design comps. The visual system was designed to carry that complexity without hiding it.

  • · Product data model built with Ryzen's engineering team
  • · Configurator logic with constraint validation
  • · Design and build focused on spec legibility
  • · Performance pass: image strategy, caching, bundle loading
