(01) The challenge
NoorPay had the licence and the banking rails but not the product. Account opening meant a branch visit or a couriered document set, and their own funnel data showed six out of ten signups abandoned before the first transfer.
Regulators required full KYC, competitors required patience. The brief was to make a compliant bank feel like a consumer app.
(02) Approach
We re-sequenced KYC so the user does one continuous job - face, ID, proof of address - while risk checks run asynchronously against the same captures. Nothing is hidden from the regulator; the user simply never waits on a batch process.
The design system was built mobile-first with a single accent colour reserved for money movement, so destructive and irreversible actions are always visually distinct.
(03) Outcome
Time to a funded account fell under nine minutes. Store ratings settled at 4.8 within two release cycles, and the four questions that dominated the support line disappeared from the queue entirely.

(04) What we did
Eight moderated sessions with real prospects told us where trust broke - not where the team assumed it did. We prototyped the flow in React Native against the live sandbox before committing to the design system.
